Phobias and OCD

Overcome your fears and controlling habits

Sometimes we have developed fears and habits through difficult situations that we have experienced or maybe you just don't know why.  These fears can manifest themselves in the strangest of behaviours, eg. phobia of buttons or balloons or other everyday objects or ritualistic behaviour, known as OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).

You may have lived for years with these irrational fears and they are starting to lead your life - predict where you can or can't go or make you anxious just in case your are faced with something you know makes you panicky or frightened.  Or you may be so caught up with rituals that you find it difficult to carry out everyday life.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool which can help you analyse where fears have come from and make sense of it all and move towards a more controlled version of yourself and able to embrace life without the restrictions and fears.

We would look at potential causes and any other factors that are driving the behaviour and fears and rules you set yourself.  We will explore a variety of resources and might use other therapies such as CBT, EFT (Tapping) and EMDR (Eye Movement Therapy).
